This week I am going to use screencasting to teach you how to use WeChat. There are a lot of functions in the application. The main function of Wechat is chat. In the chat area, you can share files, photos, and locations. You also can take videos with your friend; it likes FaceTime. Besides, you can use the pay function to book a hotel, pay a phone or an electronic bill, make an appointment in the hospital, and so on.
Overall, I hope you will like my video. If you really want to know about the WeChat, I believe the video is more effectively than my words introduction.
I have a pleasant memory of my driving trip, which is driving from Victoria to Banff with my boyfriend. This was my second time to visit Banff. We passed through many cities and towns. We met different animals. We visited several lakes. Those scenery are as beautiful as a painting.
I am a person who likes to travel very much. I also have tons of travel photos. When I have time I will use this software edit my travel photos into a book of albums. Not only that, but I may happy to use it to create my resume in future.
This week we studied how to use Canva to create a beautiful poster, brochure, photo gallery and so on. I highly recommend Canva. In the home page, you can find Canva’s function easily. You can totally figure out the Canva’s function and usage by yourself. In short, it is an easy and a simple to use design platform.
The human cognitive system is composed of two sets of codes, Verbal Code and Nonverbal Code. Based on what we have learned, we know that: “Dual-coding theory postulates that both visual and verbal information is used to represent information. Visual and verbal information are processed differently and along distinct channels in the human mind.”
When I think of dual coding, the first thing I can think of is Chinese writing. From ancient times to the present, Chinese script fully exemplifies the importance of dual coding theory because Chinese writing is different from the English alphabet, which has its origins in pictographs. People created Chinese characters in the form of physical objects. For example, “火”, as you can guess, means fire.
Secondly, I think that dual coding theory provides an excellent theoretical basis for mind mapping. Taking myself as an example, when I read textbooks or history books, I like to use a mind mapping software called “marginotes”. It helps me quickly find and remember points through graphics and labelled colours. As you can see from the dual coding theory, mind maps represent knowledge as a diagram, which provides an excellent supplement to the original boring text. We use the dual coding theory to reduce the language channel’s cognitive difficulty and accelerate the occurrence of mind expansion.

Because of the epidemic, global network development has become more and more advanced from the “Top 300 Tools for Learning 2021”, as we can see that multimedia has become more and more popular. The multimedia is extensive. Except for the online Learning tool, we are using online delivering meals, uber, virtual currency, etc. In the future, multimedia will become more and more interactive. In addition, the interactive and multimedia promoted the interaction and communication between people or between people and machines. Take iPhone’s smartphone as an example; Siri facilitates the interaction between humans and machines. Before the epidemic, I had only had one experience of learning online for six months. I like online learning because I can replay the points I review countless times, mainly if the teacher provides a video recording.
To help participants learn more effectively, we can use the non-digital interactive activities, including Q&A sessions, pair, share, incident process, and so on; the digital interactive activities include PowerPoint, video recording, and so on.
Interactive and multimedia learning fundamentals are designed to make learning more dynamic through modern instructional media and tools. One can achieve optimal education results through multimedia teaching and learning. Multimedia teaching and learning are diverse. For example, it transforms the traditional text-based education model into a new education and learning model through images, videos, graphics, and other media resources. Multimedia teaching is more interactive, engaging, etc. than traditional text-based teaching.
